Nitrocellulose (NC) membranes

These hydrophilic membranes are composed of a mixture of inert cellulose nitrate and cellulose acetate. The uniform microporous structure of these filters provide the fastest flow rates and highest throughputs available in a membrane filter. They are ideal for filtering aqueous solutions, including buffers. These filters are autoclavable at 121°C (250°F) for 20 minutes. The pH range is from 4 to 10.
