CABINETS

Laboratory safety cabinets are designed to protect the user and provide a safe environment for handling samples and preventing harmful or pathogenic substances from diffusing around the laboratory. Safety cabinets capture volatile substances that may be harmful to the user (toxic, corrosive, irritating or carcinogenic). Laminar flow cabinets provide clean air inside the cabinet and ensure samples remain sterile. Biosafety cabinets act as a containment barrier when working with samples that may contain infectious microorganisms. The cabinets have filters which must regularly be replaced depending on the type of cabinet and its usage. The filter can be included as standard or selected with the cabinet.
