Scharlab has been producing culture media for microbiology labs for over 35 years and we first started supplying prepared culture media in 1991 to meet market demand and complement the traditional line of dehydrated media.

The culture media also comply with validated methods, International Standards and other microbiology guidelines, such as ISO, harmonised pharmacopoeial methods, the European Pharmacopoeia, the USP, the FDA, and so on.
Furthermore, all Scharlau culture media are tested in an ISO 17025 laboratory accredited for testing solid culture media prepared in compliance with the requirements of ISO 11133.
Through our team of microbiology specialists, Scharlab offers its customers free, individualised technical advice to clear up any doubts about the use of their products in accordance with current regulations.
