We are pleased to present the new Scharlau chromatography column.
Glass chromatography columns are highly valued in varied applications due to their high resistance to chemicals and their ability to withstand high temperatures. Among common applications are the purification of proteins, contaminant analysis, drugs and vitamins, as well as the purification of nucleic acids. In short, glass chromatography columns are widely used in scientific research and industry to separate, purify and analyse a wide variety of chemical compounds.
This exclusive new model has two components: a glass tube as a universal chromatography column and a stopcock with or without porous plate as a second component. The objective of the model is to transform the chromatography method by making different combinations possible, thus allowing the column to be personalised according to application needs.
Some of the advantages of this design are the ease of changing the porous plate by substituting the lower component, which helps plate cleaning, as well as the possibility of switching components for multiple set ups, as well as other benefits.
