LUMINOMETERS

Luminometers are portable devices made for fast, simple control and monitoring of hygiene on surfaces or in water without the need for incubation. By detecting the bioluminescence produced by any ATP after cell lysis, the method confirms the presence, or absence, of any microorganisms or residues on surfaces that require a rapid microbiological control or to check the efficacy of cleaning and hygiene measures. Luminometers use special swabs for each device to run the tests. The swabs are placed in a tube with a test reagent liquid. The tubes are then inserted in the device to carry out the bioburden measurement.
