FLAME PHOTOMETERS
Flame photometers use a gas flame as an excitation source and then measure the radiation emitted by the metals present in a sample. They can be used to measure the concentration of sodium, potassium, calcium, lithium and barium in water, sodium in food, sodium and potassium in cement and sodium, potassium and lithium in bodily fluids.
