PLASTIC GRADUATED CYLINDERS

Measuring cylinders are used in most scientific laboratories for quick and easy measurements and the transfer of liquids. Plastic test tubes are generally made of polypropylene, so they are resistant to breakages and corrosive chemicals. They are transparent, to facilitate reading the level of liquid inside the test tube, and feature graduation marks, but they are not as accurate as volumetric apparatus, e.g., pipettes and burettes.
