ProntoSIL Si. Ultrapure silica that can be used both in normal phase and in hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HiLiC) and is the support for most of ProntoSIL bonded phases.
ProntoSIL C18 ace-EPS. Deactivated phase ('endcapped'). Stable over a wide pH range (pH 1-10). With a high hydrophobicity combined with high polar selectivity. The silanophilic activity is very low. Very basic compounds such as amitriptyline can be eluted in neutral mobile phases with excellent peak symmetry. Typical applications are in the pharmaceutical industry in the separation of acidic or basic compounds. It offers an alternative selectivity to the classic general C18 column (like ProntoSIL C18 AQ or ProntoSIL C18 H).
ProntoSIL C18 AQ. It is the most universal of the ProntoSIL C18 line. Unique bonding technology allows it to be used successfully with aqueous phases without organic modifier, yielding excellent peak symmetry as well as high selectivity. Completely deactivated packing ('endcapped'). Especially suitable for hydrophilic polar compounds.
ProntoSIL C18 AQ PLUS. Can also be used with aqueous phases without an organic modifier. Very stable at pH 1. Completely deactivated phase ('endcapped') by polar groups with a strong carbon load. The typical field of application for this support is combinatorial chemistry where work with fast gradients of 0-100% organic solvent with 0.1% TFA is carried out.
It offers an alternative selectivity to C18 AQ ProntoSIL.
ProntoSIL C18 SH .Completely deactivated packing ('endcapped'). It is the ProntoSIL C18 with maximum carbon loading and thus has excellent selectivity and stability even at pH 1. It can be used in the separation of some cis / trans isomers.
ProntoSIL C18 H .Totally deactivated phase ('endcapped'). Applicable for most reversed phase separations, especially with hydrophobic compounds. Very good separation of peptides and proteins (200 and 300Å).
Hypak ODS AB. Hipak is a typical RP material of the second generation of Bischoff. It is based on a type A silica gel, but is base-deactivated. We recommend the material as an alternative to Hypersil BDS. Both a C18 and a C8 material are offered. The materials are offered in the particle sizes 3 µm and 5 µm.
ProntoSIL Hypersorb ODS. It is Bischoff's alternative to and most like Hypersil ODS. It's Silanophilic activity is somewhat less than Hypersil ODS silica being somewhat less acidic. It's polarity is comparable. Bischoff ensures the same selectivity but with better peak symmetry for basic compounds.
ProntoSIL Spheribond ODS1. It is Bischoff's alternative to Spherisorb ODS1, ensuring identical physical and chemical properties and the same packing density. This is a classic packing with low carbon content and high silanophilic activity. One typical application area is the separation of hydrophobic compounds such as fat soluble vitamins.
ProntoSIL Spheribond ODS2. Is Bischoff's alternative to Spherisorb ODS2, offering the same selectivity. The physical and chemical properties as well as the density of the packing are the same as those of the original packing. Moderate silanophilic activity. The typical area of application of this classic phase is the separation of pharmaceutical analytes.
ProntoSIL C8 SH. Totally deactivated Phase C8. Excellent peak symmetry, selectivity and stability to pH 1. With the option of 300Å very good separations of peptides and proteins are achieved. The 5µ and 60 Å support can be used as an alternative to the LiChrospher Select B.
ProntoSIL C8 ace-EPS. Stable over a wide pH range (pH 1-10). It is more selective for polar compounds than ProntoSIL C18 ace-EPS. Deactivated phase ('endcapped'). Low silanopHiLiC activity. Very basic compounds with a pKa greater than 9 may be eluted under neutral pH conditions with excellent peak symmetry. The typical application area is the pharmaceutical industry for the separation of compounds having acidic or basic groups.
ProntoSIL C1. It is the ProntoSIL phase of least retention. Its application area is non-polar solutes (eg. Lipids). It can also be used for proteins in HIC (Hydrophobic
ProntoSIL Phenyl. Offers an alternative selectivity to C18 or C8 through p-p interaction. Totally deactivated. Very stable even at pH 1. Hydrophobicity comparable to C8.
ProntoSIL Amino. Can be used in 'NP' (normal phase), 'RP' (reverse phase), 'IC' (ionic) and HiLiC (hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography). In 'NP' it is an alternative to silica packing with different selectivity. In 'RP' it is used especially for carbohydrates.
In 'IC' it is a weak anion exchanger for anions and organic acids.
ProntoSIL Amino E. It is different from ProntoSIL Amino in that ProntoSIL Amino E is fully deactivated. Excellent in SFC (Supercritical Fluid Chromatography) for the analysis of basic compounds. It can be used in hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HiLiC).
ProntoSIL Amino H. The difference with the other two ProntoSILs is that ProntoSIL Amino has a high hydrophobicity and different selectivity. Due to a special bonding technology it offers long lasting carbohydrate analysis. It can be used in hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HiLiC).
ProntoSIL CN. Can be used in normal or reverse phase. In reversed phase, the typical application is the separation of very basic solutes. In normal phase, it has a complementary selectivity to Silica, Amino and Diol phases. Due to its rapid equilibration, it is the packing of choice for normal phase gradients.
ProntoSIL OH. It is an alternative to silica packing. Compared to ProntoSIL Si, the selectivity is similar but the equilibration time is less. Because of low surface activity it can be used in 'SEC' applications. It can be used in hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HiLiC).
ProntoSIL C30. It has an extremely large carbon load that gives a very dense bond, excellent selectivity and stability even at pH 1.
A typical application is the separation of isomers of carotenoids and other solutes with long alkyl chains are not separated in classic C18 columns.
ProntoSIL Enviro PTL. Designed for the determination of non-aromatic hydrocarbons, mono-, di- and polyaromatics in petroleum products according to the European norm EN12916 requirements (June 1997).
ProntoSIL Enviro PES. Designed for the analysis of pesticides in environmental samples according to the German standard DIN38407F12 (separating 17 pesticides in less than 45 minutes).
