One stage and two stage rotary vane pumps are used wherever an ultimate vacuum down to 10-3mbar has to be attained. Selection depends upon the ultimate vacuum and pumping speed requirements of the respective application. They have an integrated oil pump and high effective gas ballast system for improved water vapour tolerance. These compact and high performance pumps together with their modular accessories can be used for a wide range of laboratory and process applications.r- High pumping speed even at low pressurer- High vapour tolerance for water and solventsr- Anti-corrosion design: polished and plasma treated internal surfacesr- Lubrication circuit and large oil volume for longer service intervalr- Compact design, smaller dimensions, low weight, ease of maintenance through telescopic designr- Mains supply: 230V, 50HzrrOilsr- B: Standard oil with very good viscosity characteristics, good chemical resistance, as well as a better stability when pumping oxidants such as acid and alkaline vapours.r- K 8: Especially designed for pumping acid vapours. It is very hygroscopic and has limited capacity for water vapour. The alkaline additive is consumed during operation, making it necessary to change the fluid regularly, even if the pump is not used for several days. rLower vapour pressure and the viscosity characteristics than pump oil B.r-SI 2: Very high aging resistance. Stable against many aggressive gases (e. g. chlorine and hydrochloric acid).rPerfluoropolyether oil: This synthetic oil has excellent chemical resistance and is certified for pumping pure oxygen. Therefore it is used for pumping strong oxidants (halogenides, nitrogen oxides etc.). For these applications, the rotary vane pump must be prepared (completely disassembled, cleaned and filled with perfluoropolyether oil) by VACUUBRAND. This oil is available in 2 sorts: type PFPE 1 is exclusively suitable for rotary vane pumps RE / RZ 2.5 and 6 and particularly reasonably priced. The oil PFPE 2 can be used in all VACUUBRAND rotary vane pumps.
