PEHANON® test strips are characterized by having the color scale printed next to the reactive pad. This means that any color deviation will appear identically on both the test area and the scale, allowing for easy and reliable pH determination even in colored samples.
An invisible hydrophobic barrier, located just above the upper edge of the color scale, prevents the solution from rising by capillary action to the top end of the strip. This ensures that the gripping area remains dry, providing additional safety when testing hazardous solutions.
pH values are read directly from the strip, without the need for an external color chart. This makes it possible, for example, to perform simultaneous pH determinations at different locations in production facilities using a single pack, making analysis more cost-effective.
