ProntoPEARL UHC columns

ProntoPEARL columns have been designed for Ultra High Speed Chromatography (UHC). Available with porous stationary phases with a particle size of 2,2µm or nonporous stationary phases with a particle size of 1,5 microns.

Advantages:
- Save time. With high speed ProntoPearl columns, it takes only 10% of the analysis time that a regular column needs.
- High sensitivity. The lower dispersion into the HPLC column leads to higher sensitivity with the same efficiency.
- You can use standard HPLC equipment. With columns up to 150mm in length in case of particles of 2,2µm. For particles of 1,5µm, HPLC standard equipment can be used with a column length up to 50mm. To achieve maximum efficiency in these columns, short capillaries with inner diameters <= 0,15mm are recommended. (See section Tubing and HPLC accessories below)

Applications:
- ProntoPEARL TPP: Total porous particles, 2,2µm, for small molecules. ProntoPearl 2,2µm columns can be used in place of even 1,7µm columns exhibiting lower pressures without sacrificing good resolution (P <1000bar).
C18 ace-EPS packing is completely deactivated ('endcapped'). Stable over a wide pH range (pH 1-10). It has high hydrophobicity combined with high polar selectivity. Silanophilic activity is very low. Very basic compounds such as amitriptyline can be eluted in neutral mobile phases with excellent peak symmetry. Typical applications can be found in the pharmaceutical industry in the separation of acidic or basic compounds. It offers an alternative to the classical selectivity of a general C18 column. C18 SH packing is completely deactivated ('endcapped'). It demonstrates excellent selectivity and stability even at pH 1 due to the high carbon load of the ProntoSIL C18. It may be used in separating cis/trans of some isomers.
